Remote Education

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, schools were asked by the Government to provide remote home learning to help prevent children from falling behind in their education.   At Shottermill Junior School, we chose to provide our remote learning through the Google Classroom platform because we knew that the local secondary schools were also using this approach - which in turn would ease transition for our oldest pupils.

Below is some information for parents about logging into Google Classroom and our joint Haslemere Confederation Contingency Plan for delivering remote education when schools may be required to close. 

Children are each provided with logging on details, which are unique to them.  We have continued to use Google Classroom for all of our homework, which we believe is a modern and effective way to facilitate learning outside of school.
