Parents Forum
The Staff and Governors at Shottermill Junior School feel that successful communication between the school and its parents is vital to ensuring the school succeeds in meeting its aims. We have therefore set up a Parents' Forum which will act as an important link between the Senior Leadership Team of the school and the parent body.
The representatives come together at least once a term to discuss school improvement projects, celebrate successes and share concerns that affect the whole school or a particular year group. Issues which affect individual children are more suited to a one to one discussion with the class teacher and should not be raised at the forum.
The forum is run by parents who together with the school, agree an agenda prior to the meeting. We are proud to have included our Parent Forum in some exciting projects over the last two years, including:
- Development of our new Vision, Mission and Core Values
- Refurbishment of the school library
- Fundraising initiatives
- Development of the new school website and logo
- Improving academic reports to parents
If you would like to be involved with the Parent's Forum please contact the School Office.
