Curriculum
The children at Shottermill Junior School benefit from access to a broad and balanced curriculum that is tailored to meet the needs of all individuals.
We are committed to ensuring children leave Shottermill having developed high standards of English and Maths in order to succeed as they move on to Secondary School. However, we also believe in educating ‘the whole child’ and finding opportunities for children to develop their talents across all areas of the curriculum, including fostering personal and social development.
We believe our pupils flourish within our extensive facilities which include:
- Dance Studio
- Art Studio
- School Library
- Private woodland and trim trail
- All-weather sports pitch
- Outdoor heated swimming pool
In this section of the website, parents can find information on the curriculum taught at Shottermill Juniors, which is closely matched to the National Curriculum programmes of study. The documents below provide an overview of the topics taught across each year group as well our unique Cultural Capital Experiences which reflect the unique core offer available to every child at our school. More information about the curriculum taught at our school is available via the links from this page, or alternatively, please contact the School Office to either arrange a tour or a meeting with a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
